Schools Tree Day

Each year, around 3,000 preschools, kindergartens, primary and high schools across Australia take part in Schools Tree Day.

Students nationwide have learnt how to dig in for the environment and have fun getting grubby planting over 470,000 native seedlings, trees, shrubs, edibles and flowers.

This Year, Kayne and Mika from John Madill’s Toyota Gympie came to Victory College, and together with the Year 1’s, planted two fruit trees for Schools Tree Day.

The Year 1’s had a blast and took turns digging, watering and mulching each tree with some guidance from Mr Burns.
